Aaron Jones was drafted 182nd overall (Pick 39 in the 5th Round) by the Green Bay Packers. He’ll try to earn a spot alongside Aaron Rodgers in the high powered Green Bay offense. From a fantasy perspective, it is expected that wide receiver turned running back, Ty Montgomery, will get the first shot at rushing duties for the…

Gotta think that Aaron Jones beats out Jamaal Williams, right? Both guys had productive careers, so that's wash, and i think Kevin Cole's work lends itself towards athleticism mattering more than production in college anyways. With that in mind, and since the draft capital difference is negligible, the following chart (athleticism measures only + a MS for receiving numbers) depicts a lopsided camp battle:
This is assuming that they beat out Montgomery obviously.
Those two are similiar athletically, but TyMo has been successful in the NFL at this point, which remains to be seen with Aaron Jones (or Jamaal Williams). Hopefully people buy into Williams, and TyMo and Jones have ADP drops. Best guess is Jones is free come regular season, and hopefully TyMo falls to the 6th (currently going in the 5th i think).

This article prompted me take a speculative flyer on Aaron Jones last night. Williams looked like JAG so unless GB resigns CMike, Jones looks like the guy at least for the next 2-3 weeks.
What are your expectations? He has the production and he looked like he had some wiggle.

Jamaal Williams appears to be sidelined with a knee injury for a few weeks per Rapsheet
Given how skinny that backfield currently is, Jones is in line for a decent workload.

You'd think the Packers bring in a vet to compete...I would be surprised if they just give the reigns to Jones & sign a cheap flier as a backup..

Yeah I think that's what's most likely to happen here. They have the cap space to do it.
