i'd have written more in the ZRB report about the GBP backfield, but its hard to take much away from that game. Jamaal Williams will start again this week, and probably be wildly inefficienc again. Once Jones is back, the leash on Williams' inefficiency will start to tighten significantly and Week 3 and Week 4 will tell how Aaron Jones will be utilized. i'm going to be looking to scoop up Aaron Jones this Sunday if he's been dropped by any of my opponents.

@devinmci Watkins was just dropped in my league, however i'm already sitting 1 player heavy after dropping my kicker to grab Enunwa. Not optimisic of swinging a 2 for 1 before Sunday so odds are I will need to drop at least 1 player for a kicker and 2 if you think it's worth snagging Watkins. It's a 12 tm .5 ppr.
Be; Nick Chubb
Be; Ted Ginn
(we do have an IR spot, so if Burkhead winds up sitting that helps me)

@kdenigris I'd drop Ginn & RoJo to grab Sammy. But I'm a massive Watkins truther! Can't see Jones doing much against Eagles this wknd, so you could always get him again next wk. I dropped him for Boyd today. I suspect he will still be there next wk, but we'll see

@kdenigris I agree with @Will . You'll have to drop Ginn for your kicker, but I'd still drop RoJo or Chubb for Sammy. I haven't seen the latest, but if RoJo is going to be inactive again, he's the more straightforward drop. In a vacuum I'd probably drop Chubb, just because if RoJo is active he could have a big game immediately, whereas Chubb is going to have limited usage until an injury happens.

Just curious as to why you’d drop Ginn vs one of the Jets receivers. Seems like Enunwa will be a higher volume play but are we really willing to bet on Darnold supporting 2 fantasy viable WRs vs Drew Brees? Feels like Ginn and Anderson are used similarly. More mouths to feed in NO?
#44 By: devinmci, September 15th, 2018 16:47
@kdenigris That's a very good question. I liked Ginn in bestball this summer, but I do think we kind of know what he is at this point in his career and in this Saints offense. We haven't quite seen it yet, but I think Ginn actually has more target competition this year than last, with Meredith and Tre'Quan Smith, plus Austin Carr and Ben Watson. Josh Hill is a small cog, but he also had a broken finger last year apparently. So I'm willing to let Ginn go, because I see splash plays, but perhaps less of the volume that made him relevant last year.
You're right that I don't think Darnold will likely support two receivers. But I think it's possible that either Enunwa or Robby A is able to ascend into a legit WR1 role, and if either is injured, the other would have a very good chance at that lion's share of targets (whereas I don't think Ginn takes over as a WR1 necessarily if Michael Thomas misses time). If Robby gets 24%+ targets, he has a very high ceiling. If Enunwa does, his ceiling might be a little lower, but could be an excellent ppr target hog.

@devinmci @hrr5010 I managed to do the Kerryon for Sammy trade (completes for wk 3). Hoping that Sammy goes off today now.
With Gio Bernard rostered I don't feel so bad about RB situation going forward, even with Burkhead and Sony questionable for today.
#46 By: devinmci, September 17th, 2018 00:03
7 targets for 6 recs and 100 yards, plus a 31 yard rush. The TDs will come, as basically every pass catcher except Sammy got one today.
Kerryon actually got nice targets today, but didn't do too much, and was boosted by gamescript and Blount getting ejected.

What do you think I could get for Jordy Nelson, Royce Freeman or Duke Johnson in a trade? I have all three and want to try to clear them from my rosters ASAP. I'm worried Duke and Jordy won't get the volume needed to be productive, and I'm worried Royce just isn't good enough. I think he'll be a between-the-20s first and second down guy with the occasional goal-line carry on a mediocre offense. That's not necessarily a recipe for big fantasy success.
Also, whom would you rather have: O.J. Howard or David Njoku? Howard is throwing up splash plays on an offense that's clicking (perhaps unsustainably so), and Njoku is getting solid volume.

@devinmci awesome, love to see the thought process as it helps me make better decisions on my own down the line. Wound up being able to stash RoJo in the IR slot since he was ruled out, and dropped Ginn so I was able to grab a kicker as well as Sammy.

@devinmci glad to have gotten this done. Think a WR on the Chiefs has more value than a rookie (committee) RB on the Lions at this point. For my next question, I'm getting worried about my RB depth ahead of this wk, esp starting down 0-2 & with Pats playing Thurs.
Should I look to move a backup WR (Jones, Funchess, Boyd or Cole) + Rex/Sony in order to get an upgrade at RB?
I'm comfortable starting Thompson & Gio this wk but in future I'm going to need more reliable touches from my other starter than Rex or Sony are currently providing.
#50 By: devinmci, September 17th, 2018 14:46
@Will I think Pats play Sunday night, unless i'm misreading your post?
Gio is not in a perfect matchup, but I'd be fine with him and Thompson vs GB in ppr. "Upgrade" is dangerous a way to put things, because it causes us to anchor to preseason values too much. Gio and Thompson have a good chance to be RB1s this week, so I wouldn't be too worried--sure, I'd love to trade for Dalvin Cook right now, but nobody is giving up their 2nd round pick for Boyd + Michel.
Sony looked like a rookie to me, so I think Rex is a hold and he may be your long term answer. But maybe maybe you could tempt someone with Rex + Cole to get Alex Collins or Dion Lewis or possibly LeSean McCoy.

Should I sell Michel or keep holding? Schedule is so week upcoming I think I will hold to see if his value explodes.
@FF_Contrarian would you drop Robby Anderson to pick up Tyler Boyd? Know you were high on both. Other option is to add RoJo.
#52 By: How, September 17th, 2018 16:19
I'd definitely hold Michel. This was his first NFL start after being limited/not practicing/not playing for the past month plus. The rest of the RBs on the roster have looked... uninspired. I say give him a few weeks to emerge.
#53 By: William Russell, September 17th, 2018 16:31
@devinmci Just realised I misread the Pats as playing Thurs this wk! Glad Rex has a few more days to rest up.
Reading your post on the Talking Trades thread below, should I perhaps be trying to sweet talk the Breida or Henry owners into a deal for Rex + Cole. Shady is also interesting. The same owner likes trading but is about to reject my Amari for Kelce trade, so maybe I can counter him with this one.
#54 By: devinmci, September 18th, 2018 04:20
@Will I think Rex is a hold, because his upside is even higher now with Jeremy Hill gone. They might add an RB at some point (so far I think they only added Kenneth Farrow), but at the moment Rex still has a good chance at high value touches on a top offense. He also only played 25% of snaps and had zero targets against the Jags, so people are probably not clamoring for him. If Michel has any setbacks with his knee, or continues to struggle as a receiver, Rex would vault way up the rankings again.
Cole looked incredible this week though. You should try to offer him straight up for Tevin Coleman, or if you need to gamble, James Conner.

@devinmci thanks. Have put that one out there. Would a Marvin Jones for Lindsay trade make sense, too?
The Lindsay owner is looking to move him. With Keenan, JuJu, Amari, Sammy, Funchess, Boyd & Cole I'm feeling solid at WR.
Only caution is that if the Cole trade goes through I like the depth. Plus Marvin is an 11th round keeper for me, though note your earlier point about moving beyond preseason values.

@devinmci @FF_Contrarian @JollyG804 in a .5 ppr would you trade Goodwin and Michel for Allen Robinson? My other WRs are Hopkins, Diggs, Landry, C Davis. RBs are strong with McCaffrey, Coleman, Breida, Ekeler, Aaron Jones, Michel. Can start up to 4 WRs.
#57 By: How, September 18th, 2018 08:30
I would in a heartbeat. Much as I like Michel, I think Robinson is going to be a target hog. I don't think Goodwin will be much better than replacement level (he's just too small and fragile). Michel could be a solid RB, but he won't be consistent in New England. Meanwhile, Robinson will just get peppered, and Robinson has the talent to do something with all those targets. For reference, Robinson is fourth in WOPR in the NFL, just after Julio Jones, DeAndre Hopkins and Michael Thomas and just before Corey Davis, Odell Beckham, Jarvis Landry, Antonio Brown and Adam Thielen. That's damn good company.
#58 By: Dennis, September 18th, 2018 10:34
I have not given up on Goodwin and he can make their offense a lot better, and Michel has upside, as Burkhead can never stay healthy and he got lots of carries and there's no hill. it's a gamble but look man, whatever we want out of Goodwin is already happening in chicago, and Allen, unlike goodwin has a 1400 yard season under his belt. it's not farfetched to imagine him going in the 3rd or 4th around where TY Coop, Jarvis, Demarius went with these airyards and targets. I know he was very inefficient his last healthy year with elite volume in Jax but who knows maybe Mitch can progress some like bortles has. id do it.
this was scary tho, check on this. tho i think he kept playing what do they put in guys knees nowadays after a surgery. scary.
