Dude, I loved your IDP articles last season... hoping to god you'll be writing something similar this year. Those articles were a big reason my IDP picks took a backseat in my most important League last year, and I still wound up with some of the best IDPs in the league!
You have 1 fan, I'll up my subscription buy-in if it means you'll back in the game this year!!!

Guys work has been a monster this spring through summer and just hasn't let up. I may just release the value picks I've seen right here if I can't get something published in time. If you have a draft coming up and have specific questions let me know.

@PlanetX Sure. I am ok with your value picks here. My draft is on Saturday and we start 1 DE, 1 Lb and 1 DB (4pt sack, 1.5pt tkl, 0.75 assist). I have usually waited until Rd 15 (all offensive positions filled) before taking IDP. In mocks, I am able to get Melvin Ingram/Yannick Ing , Alec Ogletree and Tyrann Matthieu. Alternately, I am debating snatching up one of the 3 top DEs and then taking a rookie LB such as Edwards from BUF and stream DB (Budda Baker).

@turndownforwatt Waiting is always going to be my preferred strategy. DE is where my research focus has been this off-season. Chandler Jones is my pick to finish as the top points scoring DL with that scoring system. Bruce Irvin is my emergency DE in the event I miss on Chandler. Watch your league setup to be sure both qualify as DE of course. Budda was a great waiver grab ly for me. Yep. Draft a DB for week one but you'll probably find your starter on the WW.

@PlanetX, Thanks Eric. Chandler Jones is actually a very good suggestion and he is listed as EDR in ESPN. So, that would work and in my mocks, he is much lower compared to the top tier of JJ, Calais, Bosa, Mack etc. It's good value.
I really like the falcons players, Deon Jones and Neal as my LB and DB, but Neal is the #2 DB now and the price will be too high. I can probably get Jones at 15/16. Any suggestions on value LBs?

Hey Eric, @PlanetX, finished our draft today. Got Griffen DE, Dieon Jones at LB and Micah Hyde for DB. I see some folks ranking Tartt as top DB, and he is on WW, where are you on him? Similarly, Sean Davis and Josh Jones are on WW too. Also, Bruce Irvin is still on WW, should I get him over Griffen? I think I am set with LB as Jones. Thanks in advance.

You'll want to hold Griffen. Irvin should be useful but doesn't have the sacks upside. Wow, Sean Davis and Jones are gifts on the WW. I might want them over Hyde but Hyde is pretty solid. I got some of him this week too. I don't rank Tartt nearly that high myself but I do think he has the upside. He's someone that's worth drafting later if he falls but I wouldn't go and reach for.
So far I've waited to take IDP with my last picks and have been amazed at the talent left. Loving Hitchins, Whitehead, Buffalo LBs falling late. I did get Chandler Jones a little earlier though. I selected him about when the WR tiers fell apart as I was going ZeroRB of course.

Hey Eric, @PlanetX. Can use your advise trying to fill my IDP spots.. We start 1 LB, 1 DB, and 1 DL.. scoring is 1.5pt tkl, 0.75 asst, 4pt sack..
My current DE is Everson Griffen. Ryan Kerrigan, Brandon Graham, JPP are big names on WW.
Deion Jones was my LB, but he is now on IR. Its a mix of rookie LBs - Fred Warner, Cory Littleton, Darius Leonard, Roquan or vets like Ferrari Foster, Woodyard, Whitehead, Kiko Alonso, Schobert, ogletree, Barron and suspended Burfict on WW.
DB choice are - Antoine Bethea, Shawn Williams, Derwin James, Haha, Kentrell Brice, Geathers, Tartt.
I lean towards staying with Griffen (he had a tough matchup with GB), LB - I might be chasing Leonard, and DB - I was thinking of cashing on CIN resurgence with Shawn Williams or Derwin James (sack upside is very tempting). But would love your thoughts. Thanks in advance.
Other choices are trading for LBs such as Wagner (owner also has Sean Lee), and DE such as Cam Jordan. But the asking price is too high as I generally don't like trading away offense for IDP. Its a good roster - highest scoring across 2 weeks, but IDP is definitely a weakness since Jones' injury.
Thanks for your help.

@turndownforwatt Definitely go with Griffen there at DE given 4 pts per sack. Deion Jones being lost is such a gut punch to recover from. Of those LB choices, 100% Leonard. He’s got good size with a mixed bag of other measurables but he’s in a good spot and if he sticks all season he could make for a special year for us. Kiko, Schobert and Whitehead all next. Do stash Vonte if you have the space.
At DB those are all good choices. Probably Bethea though. Take care

Thanks Eric! Good luck to you as well. I will place some bids tomorrow and see how it goes. I hope to land Leonard. Again, thanks for your tips!
