I'm in a keeper league and was approached for a David Johnson trade. He will cost a 1st rounder and can be kept for only one more year. Here's the offer:
David Johnson for Joe Mixon and Travis Kelce
My TE is Trey Burton, so that's a clear upgrade. At this point, I see Johnson-Mixon as a wash, especially since Mixon can be kept for two more years as Johnson at a similar or cheaper cost.
I am trying to expand the trade to include Aaron Jones coming back and including Trey Burton going out, but as stands do I deal DJ?

I love this trade for you.
snap accept for me.

have to accept here...sadly...
to your question on the pod, @hrr5010, great stuff BTW, i traded away fuller and aaron jones for david johnson on a team where i start odell julio landry Juju. previously with DJ moore and Fuller as wr on bench and starting RBs like breida jamaal will or ekeler kerryon.
so you could look for a zero rb type team stacked at WR and try to bargain there. ill miss fuller but if DJ can improve with rosen ill wind up with better starter pts since i can only start 4 wr here

I also like that move with Travis Kelce a huge get in any trade. I expect David Johnson to bounce back and still be a big star, but the receiving volume for Mixon starts to push him close to that top tier, and the extra year/better keep price is also a bonus.

Thanks all. Was able to get Aaron Jones thrown in for Trey Burton - this weekend's performance pushed it over the top.
Am wary of DJ returning to form - Rosen looked pretty solid IMO - but overall my team is definitely better.

what are you guys doing with gio and cobb? also at @hrr5010
I have this one 0rb team that needs some advice. im 2-2, in .5ppr
wr d adams
flx mike williams
3 m. davis
4 dj moore
as of now i bid my last 5 bucks on jamaal williams on waiver for tonite to cut gio. then i could move cobb to IR.
there are also guys like c. kirk, ito, tymo, (could grab 2 GB backs potentially) paul richardson tho i need more help at rb i think...and total cuffs like m. brown, c. edmonds etc. im curious what youd do but im also curious your thinking for these spots. is it bench stashes w upside, or guys who can score a few pts w bye weeks comin, etc

Here's how I'd be playing this:
1) Gio with the MCL sprain is expendable, unfortunately. He's gonna miss 2-4 weeks (closer to 4 IMO, and there's no guarantee he's fully healthy upon return)
2) Cobb is dealing with the hammy issue and he might be a good IR candidate. If you're cutting Gio, I'd grab TyMo.
3) I'd rather you get RB over WR. Your WR spots are VERY deep, and you simply need RBs at this point. Mike Davis is an interesting snag and I'm glad you got him.
4) DJ Moore is already your stash WR, and he's someone you could cut for Kirk if needed.
I don't hate rostering the two non-Aaron Jones RBs in Green Bay. TyMo was heavily used last year before suddenly being phased out. He could become this squads James White. I'd prioritize TyMo over the other guys, since he could simply be a WR in your RB slot.
I am biased though, since I wrote this about TyMo a while ago. I just figured he was the perfect pivot off Cobb, who's been the GB WR2 for the last 3 years, but has been a failure. The Buck Allen of WRs if you will.

another player to keep an eye on is Foreman. He will come out of PUP in week 6, and Miller has been less than stellar, there is a chance that he could take over the backfield. I am not sure who you would drop as of now, but I thought I would mention his name.
#9 By: Dennis, October 5th, 2018 13:52
ok thanks i just rostered TyMo... with MVS drawing a start and allison dinged i wont be surprised if tymo plays a lot on short routes, etc.
moved cobb to IR and put a bid in for Jamaal over mike davis so i can get 2 swings at the GB back field since im not starting davis anyway. u like that?
on another team with the same tevin - gio dilemma im actually starting m davis (or now tymo or alfred blue! if miller out?) its getting hairy!
#10 By: Dennis, October 5th, 2018 14:01
yeah! i saw him thanks! the issue for me there is there r few teams i have with IR spots who can afford to wait until week 8+ i think...and achilles are rough to comeback from id want to ease him in for few weeks, especially w blue doing a solid miller impersonation

@turndownforwatt yeah great call. I play in a handful of leagues with an IR slot and sadly he's rostered in all of them. But I might strongly consider doing the same if he's available.
@JollyG804 i actually like that quite a good bit. You're dealing with an RBBC as it stands anyway, and although they've not been particularly productive... it's not like they're not gonna be useful to your squad. Your weeks will be won via the WR slot, and all you need is to not take 0's at RB.
Tevin is probably the better hold candidate over Gio. He's still playable as RB2, depending on roster construction. For example I'm rolling him out as an RB2 since my WRs are: Julio, OBJ, Boyd, Amari (or Doug Baldwin)
Alfred blue could be a viable option, but the Dallas run defense isn't that bad. Houston might take to the air to beat them. Tevin gets a slight edge for me over TyMo/Blue in this scenario. We don't know how much run Freeman might get.. and if the Falcons start targeting Tevin a bit more... oh yes.

Which side of this trade offer would you prefer:
i have: TY +Aaron Jones
just offered: Amari + buck allen?
i'm pretty desparate at just 1-3 and could put coop into that final flex over ekeler or a. jones....i could also counter and ask for Cohen over buck, tho its 0.5 ppr and im projected to win by 13
I guess TY and Aaron are the upside plays and Coop would be a hedge on TY's hammy and some sort of ful blown colts implosion
Adding @FF_Contrarian @Will

I wouldn’t say 1-3 means you’re desperate. Plenty of season left and there’s time to cover ground quick.
I kinda like the Hilton + Jones side slightly more but I’m biased against Buck. Assuming buck eventually starts seeing more work, slam dunk win for amari side.
This teams has a stretch of bad lick. It looks soooo good on paper too. Ugh sorry man

i thought about it a bit and i decided i do like the upside of Amari here. @friscojosh wrote a bit about the clean pocket for the raiders, and the crazy league high separation he's been getting, and weirdly carr has been average lately so, with their D not doing much and their passing clicking i like his outlook. at least relative to TY having hurt his shoulder/chest and now hammy and something about Indy makes me nervous.
I countered with asking for Cooper, Tarik Cohen, and Buck allen for TY, mike davis and aaron jones.
With alex collins fumbling yet again, Harbaugh's favorite...and being limited all week maybe Buck does have a path to extra touches afterall. let's see what my league mate does....thx for your thoughts!

David Johnson for Mixon and Kelce is an no brainer. I think Johnson for Mixon straight up isn't unreasonable. With Arizona playing at a snails pace and DJ regulated to passes at the LOS, I think Mixon might be better for ROS.
#16 By: Hostage, October 13th, 2018 15:36
D Johnson, Hopkins and Agholor was just traded in one of my leagues for Zeke and Fitz.
no real analysis on this...just thought I'd throw it out there.

wut. i'm weeping over here.
