People r dropping RoJo a lot keep an eye out. I just scooped him off FAAB in a couple leagues. Apparently his "crappy" preseson (or more likely the fact that it was written up as one with a rotoworld headline with his yards per carry).
what they didnt note was that he caught a deep bomb on a gorgeous wheel route or scored a td also.
hes fast and im buying. hes only 21. maybe he needs a year to figure it out. but maybe he only needs 3 weeks to improve a lot too.

YEEEEEEAHHHH BABY. I got one final auction draft. If I can sneak RoJo for next to nothing... I'll be celebrating like mad.

just did a snake here, with the 6th pick. i have a lot of DHOP shares (as I shared w u on twitter- im @behindcurve ) so i wanted to diversify a bit so i took Odell 6th. was tricky as there was studs like Saquan, Melgo, Hunt, Julio, i was considering. and its a start 3 wr, 2 flx full ppr league.
the other suboptimal but deliberate move i made was coop over jarvis which was strictly to diversify portfolio a bit. especially after reading ur work. but then i returned to my usual form w the zero rb candidates.
rojo went mid 12th. i was letting him go because i have so many shares now. and scoopin more D. moore, M Will and chubb but id pounce in the 10th if ur feelin lucky pilgrim
but heres my team, a lot like many of my others sorta. i just cant stop taking guys like kerryon, tevin, ekeler, breida, fuller

Ah you're @behindcurve! Cool! I don't think your move is suboptimal, since Cooper fits with what you're doing with this squad. Hogan becomes a fun trade candidate, if only because you got Gronk as well.
Here's a draft I did last week, and I timed out and wound up with Russ Wilson.
I'm Steamed Hams. The dream was Amari/Landry, but Doug is a fine option.
Also - i've never been angrier at the fact that RoJo got sniped after I took Penny. I have VERY little Penny, so I made this pick over RoJo, but I'm so tilted

the one great thing about getting stuck w a late paick this year is theres a great chance of winding up with odell-julio as a start.
altho seeing that i "diversified" off hopkins to Odell and than i found Shawn on one of the forums saying he wouldnt do that hed just keep taking Hop cuz of odells target comp. doh.
someone in ur league here got excellent value for treadwell.....makes getting russel wilson a lot less of a doh!

Got Rojo for $1 in my auction last night, very pleased

I have a team with
im pretty confident with all the news on RoJo that hes gettable. would u move latavius, ekeler, or jones for him? even if now jacquizz may be in the fold?( for what its worth, ekeler and rojo are already some of my most owned players. i have maybe half as much of the other guys cuz they havent suffered any big dips in ADP like rojo and ekeler was always dirt cheap.
im at my limit for RBs tho
@hrr5010 @FF_Contrarianhow much RoJo is too much and for what price
#8 By: hrr5010, September 5th, 2018 15:02
I'd hold tight for now. RoJo is a guy who could wind up on waivers. People have over reacted to his positioning on the depth chart and poor performance. No need to move if you feel like you're over exposed.
#9 By: Dennis, September 5th, 2018 15:46
what do you think? I have about 10 shares of ekeler and about 8 of jones jr. so i could go for 9 each... I suspect Jones is the superior talent but ekeler is in the better spot. a gordon injury tho and have to think theyd consider bringing in a boring goal line vulture since AE is barely 200 lbs whereas an injury to barber probably just gets RoJo a big promotion...
#10 By: hrr5010, September 5th, 2018 16:29
I dunno. I'd sit tight for now, since RoJo is in bad shape. I'd expect RoJo's price keeps declining, whereas Ekeler could find himself in the Danny Woodhead role. So Ekeler might have more trade value, and you got plenty of RoJo as a hedge.

ok thank u! i have a keeper league draft tonite maybe ill just aim for Rojo around 10 or 11 and then i wont need to trade at all in other leagues for him

I have a 10 team draft coming up tonight...I fully expect to see RoJo end up on waivers. Is it worth trying to grab him with my last pick, and just stash for half the season, or let it play out and try to time picking him up? There are only 15 roster spots, so there isn't a ton of spots open.
I guess putting this another way, is it worth getting him and holding him through the early portion of the season, knowing it'll be mostly nothing for a bit?
#13 By: hrr5010, September 5th, 2018 18:28
The answer to this unfortunately is - it depends. How do waivers work in your league? FAAB? If so you might have to be willing to go big if he sees a surprising amount of usage.
If you’re comfortable taking shots at other positions and waiting to see how RoJo shakes out, it’s fine.
Out of curiosity - do you know who might be there in the final few rounds?
#14 By: Adam Eraky, September 5th, 2018 19:25
It's a keeper league, and there are always wildcards at the end of the draft. There is a chance he gets picked by one of the auto draft teams, but I have a feeling he'll soon be dropped by an autodrafter, unless he manages to explode week 1 somehow.
15 rounds, ten teams, with most teams taking 2 QBs, and a few taking 3, you're likely to see some decent players there at the end of drafts. So when it comes to position players, it's relatively shallow.
Waivers run on Tuesdays, and roll over every week. Unfortunately no FAAB bucks.

Keeper changes the calculus. I’d take the gamble on him If you need production now, or Guice I’d you’re ok holding all year.
#16 By: Adam Eraky, September 6th, 2018 12:32
Heh, I fully plan to absue my league's rules and draft Guice & McKinnon, throw them in IR slots (we have up to 3) and pick up two guys off the wire. I have no shame lol.

Hey.... you're just following the rules

Does everyone think Rojo is a must-own at this point?
I currently start Royce Freeman and Rex Burkhead with Tevin Coleman, Matt Breida, Gio Bernard and Austin Ekeler on the bench.
Drop Gio/Ekeler (or Tyler Lockett) for Rojo? I have a hunch Rojo will stay on the wire given our short 5-man bench, but should I take that chance?
#19 By: hrr5010, September 7th, 2018 08:24
I'd leave him on waivers. that's a very short bench.
