It's fair in my opinion. Godwin/Moore both going a little before Breida in MFL10s. Certainly with his shoulder injury and the Morris signing, it's a good time to move if you want to add him. I think it makes sense for your squad which has plenty of WR upside, and could use a little more RB depth.

I bid 25% and got him. One guy put in a claim for $0 and no one else put in a claim. I dropped My D, so I will have make room for 2 spots before week 1. I think I'll send out some 2 for 1 offers like you suggested rather than just dropping people.

I agree with Devin that it's a fair trade. Really like that squad.

Just finished a couple of PPR drafts (one auction redraft, one keeper snake draft). I kind of think I botched the auction draft, but we'll see! I kind of went high risk, high reward in my strategy, looking for players with a high variance of outcomes, hoping one or two of them really blows up. Let me know your thoughts on these teams... less WR heavy than I'd hoped, but I'll skew that way on my next draft.
QB: Carson Wentz (feeling nervous about this one... regression plus injury risk)
WR: Davante Adams, Allen Robinson, Nelson Agholor, Marvin Jones, D.J. Moore (a bit thin, huh?)
RB: Saquon Barkley, Royce Freeman, Kerryon Johnson, Peyton Barber, Tevin Coleman, Aaron Jones
TE: Jordan Reed
Keeper Snake Results:
QB: Marcus Mariota
WR: Stefon Diggs (kept—4th round), JuJu Smith-Schuster, Jordy Nelson, Nelson Agholor, Corey Davis (kept—9th round), D.J. Moore, Christian Kirk (there were no elite WRs available when my first pick came around, so I took the McCaffrey upside over Davante Adams)
RB: Melvin Gordon (kept—1st round, 12th pick), Christian McCaffrey, James White, Tevin Coleman, Sony Michel
TE: Mike Gesiki (I was upset that no decent TEs lasted, but then I realized that one guy took 4! TEs, so some will come available soon, I'm sure)
I think Lockett is floating around in the auction league. He seems interesting, but maybe not worth it?

Well, I he didn't want a WR for Breida and I didn't send a counter until yesterday. Added Ekeler to the offer but once McKinnon got hurt he understandably rejected it.
I was able to grab Morris before anyone else could, so now my RB corps is Kamara, Morris, Aaron Jones, Ekeler, and Buck Allen. I dropped Hines to pick up Morris; once I could move McKinnon to IR I picked up Allen.
Based on my roster construction, I have 2 questions. 1) Pick up Hines and drop Allen once Hines clears waivers? 2) Would you offer to trade Morris for Breida? I know that Breida has more upside as he's all but guaranteed all the receiving work, but Morris will likely get the goal-line work. Since I have a fairly stacked roster, would you keep the safe floor of Miller or swing for the fences with Breida?

Just finished my 12 team Standard Scoring Redraft. Results:
QB Tom Brady
RB Todd Gurley / Tevin Coleman / Matt Breida / Bilal Powell / Latavius Murray
WR Davante Adams / AJ Green / Amari Cooper / Keelan Cole / Kenny Golladay
TE Evan Engram
K Matt Prater
D Los Angeles Chargers
My RBs are thin outside of Gurley, but Adams, Green, and Cooper all slid to me to picks 24, 25, and 48 respectively so I could not pass on those. I went with the RBs that offered the biggest upside to make up for that. I also got Brady at the 6th which I though was good value as well. Let's see how it pays out.

@mateoloco I wouldn't say Breida is "all but guaranteed" the receiving work. We really don't know how it will play out. It could be a 3-4 way committee, with Breida as an all-around COP back, Juszczyk and Mostert as primary receiving backs, and Morris as the GL guy. That's what happened at the end of last season, with Breida totally marginalized as a receiver. They could also add a RB like Ameer Abdullah to replace Jerick. But I'm generally leaning towards Breida just because he's been there and is also more likely a part of the team's longterm plans. Morris could still get cut for all I know.
Yeah, I would probably pick up Hines. I'm not a big fan of either, but if Mack isn't ready for week 1, there is a window of opportunity there, even if Hines is the RB4 at the moment. I think Allen and Dixon will both probably be used, and Allen could be a James White type except with less RZ usage on a worse-scoring team. On the other hand, Baltimore has thrown a ton to it's RBs in recent years. Still, Allen has been passed by Dixon before, despite Dixon doing basically everything to give away his roster spot, so I'm not that excited.

@jeduardomalo Really like that team for standard. Gurley and Coleman make a great foundation and then to have three WRs who could all finish in the WR1 tier ...

Completed my first auction draft tonight. 10 team PPR QB, 2 WR, 2 RB, TE, 2 W/R/T, 1 Q/W/R/T, K, DST, 6 bench. Being that it was a superflex I was thinking that QBs would be fairly pricey, and although some of the top QBs went for a lot, I got some great values. But I also made my share fair of mistakes. Here's my squad:
QB Cousins $9
QB Garoppolo $5
QB Wentz $4
QB Smith $3
WR Julio $41
WR Keenan $41
WR Amari $30
WR Diggs $26
WR Robby $3
WR Fuller $4
RB McCoy $11
RB Tevin $4
RB Breida $4
RB RoJo $1
RB Kerryon $3
RB Sony Michel $9 (I had more money than anyone left and it was my last pick so I just bid it all on him)
TE Delanie $2
As you can see, I got some really great values. People spend a lot on all the big ticket items so there were some really good values later on. If I had been a little more patient/frugal early on I could have done even better. Here were some of the other QB prices: Rodgers $32, Brady $22, Brees $20, Cam $18, Wilson/Watson $17, Stafford $12, Rivers $11, Luck $10, Goff $10, Carr $9, Big Ben $7, Mahomes $7, Bortles $5, Tyrod $4 etc. So I think all of my QBs were pretty big values.
For the WR, AB was $55, Nuk was $58, OBJ $48, D Adams $42, M Thomas $40, AJG $39, so I think Julio was a discount and Keenan was about what he should have been.
Mistakes I made:
1) got 4 QBs. I actually didn't realize that I won the bid for Garoppolo until several minutes later. When I bid on Smith, there was only 1 other guy bidding and his max bid was $6 and he was going to get him for $2, so I bid $3 thinking he'd grab him for 4. Obviously he didn't do that.
2) Overpaid for Cooper. Not sure why I went all the way up to $30. I didn't have him on any squads so was hoping to get him for $6, but I got Diggs for cheaper and Landry went for $19, so I definitely overpaid.
3) Bought McCoy. People were bidding in $1 increments so for the more expensive players I would place a medium sized bid just to get the auction to move faster. Wasn't trying to price enforce. Well I guess my $11 bid for McCoy was not a medium sized bid. It could turn out to be a bargain but more likely a big headache. And Landry ended up going right after that; would have loved to have had that $11 to spend on him.
4) I had $ left over. The last 5 or 6 guys I bid on I knew I would win because I could spend more $ than anyone else. Even still, I had $9 to bid on my last player (Michel). I may have been able to get Landry or at least someone like Hogan ($10) and then be fighting over scraps at the end like everyone else.
5) Don't have a kicker or D. I don't really have any players who I want to drop. I'm going to try to do a 2 for 1 trade and give up a QB and try to improve at a position. Which QB would you try to move? I'm kind of skeptical of Wentz this year, considering the injury and the inevitable regression of his TD rate. And I think he might have the highest trade value (people said I got the steal of the draft with him for $4). I think Garoppolo would be 2nd in terms of hype being higher than production. Even if I do a 2 for 1 I'll still have to drop someone. I'm thinking that I'll probably drop RoJo since he only went for $1 and people seem pretty down on him.
My team's OK and has a lot of good zero RB guys who could break out and auctions are a lot of fun. @dcaban any thoughts? I really enjoyed going through all your auction stuff in preparation.

I would try to trade Breida + Garoppolo (or any QB) for Lamar Miller or Dion Lewis.
#34 By: devinmci, September 4th, 2018 03:09
@Gohio I love that Nuk/Thomas/Hill start. My only concern is that your RB depth has a lot of candidates to fade in value down the stretch (AP, Hyde, Lamar could all be out of town next year) and not be pass catchers. If Hyde/AP in particular start hot maybe you can angle to add someone like Henry, Tarik, Tevin if they have a slow start.

Thanks! @mateoloco Despite, the mistakes I think there are a lot of positives in this squad. You will have a number of options at QB that weren't overly expensive, have a solid group of WRs (in my opinion, as despite overpaying for Cooper you got Keenan and Julio at reasonable prices, and Diggs at 26, comparatively, wasn't bad). I really like Walker for 2, and I think that for a Superflex league, this is a solid Zero-rb type of roster. Plus, you're aware of some of your mistakes which is half the battle. All in all, for your first auction, not bad at all.

I just finished a draft (PPR, QB, 3 WR, 2 RB, TE, Flex, 6 Bench). I feel pretty good about my squad, but I snagged Nick Chubb, Marlon Mack and Aaron Jones, so I have a lot of RB talent waiting to develop. It's a keeper league, which may explain the wonkiness:
QB: Russell Wilson
WR: Odell Beckham, Davante Adams, Stefon Diggs, Emmanuel Sanders, Nelson Agholor, DJ Moore
RB: Melvin Gordon, Duke Johnson, Tevin Coleman, Nick Chubb, Aaron Jones, Marlon Mack
TE: Delanie Walker
Would you drop Mack to get Adrian Peterson, Alfred Morris, Giovani Bernard, Theo Riddick, or Latavius Murray? What about Chris Godwin, Mike Williams, Rishard Matthews, Cameron Meredith or the like? Or, do I try to take a shot at OJ Howard at TE?
Remember, it's a keeper league. I can keep players for 1.25x their cost of acquisition (including FAAB bids). That's one reason to target more young potential breakouts over older values (though I usually try to draft a few older guys because they tend to be underpriced in the league).
#37 By: thickfreakness, September 6th, 2018 19:01
Home league. 8th spot. Ten team, half PPR. 2RB, 2WR, TE, Flex
I kind of panicked in the 4th on Freeman and I wish I had reached for Landry here. I still love my WR depth and good receiving backs. I drafted ASJ in the last round to stream this week, but missed Doyle not being drafted (see: home league). Currently have a waiver in to get Doyle over ASJ, but considering just starting Reed and using that last bench spot on Gillislee.
#38 By: devinmci, September 8th, 2018 06:12
I would hold Mack. I would probably drop Jones first, and could see doing that for any of those guys except Matthews and probably not Meredith either. But you drafted him expecting to wait two weeks, so I don't mind waiting to find out what happens with him in GB, since you're not starting any of those waiver guys anyway.
#39 By: devinmci, September 8th, 2018 06:14
@thickfreakness with only 6 starters, the TE matters more. i'd try to add doyle probably. it would be hard to start Gillislee over Freeman or JuJu anyway.

First FFPC draft (main event) from the 9 slot: Decision between Bell and Hopkins there. PPR, TE 1.5 PPR, qb/rb/rb/wr/wr/te/fl/fl

How about Tyreek Hill huh!?
#42 By: How, September 10th, 2018 11:06
That guy is possibly the most exciting player in the NFL already. How a guy runs circles around some of the best athletes in the world is beyond me. He's just so outrageously fast.
