Another week, another thread! Let's chat about some of the RB notes from across the NFC. Some more items I'll be keeping track of:
1) Green Bay RBs... Aaron Jones is creeping up in opportunities. Does he finally get unleashed?
2) If Cobb + Allison are both out, does Ty Montgomery get more work?
3) What's up with Rashaad Penny's lack of usage?
4) Mark Ingram's impact on Alvin Kamara
Tier 1: Mark Ingram, (probably not anywhere on waivers. certainly a buy or sell candidate based on your team structure) RoJo (now that he's the starter, the upside is still there), Tarik Cohen (is he on waivers?), Matt Breida, Aaron Jones, Kerryon Johnson - I doubt any of these guys are on waiver wires or available for trade cheaply. outside of RoJo... RB needy teams might be willing to wildly overpay for them. if you're flush at RB... there's an opportunity to sell ultra high.
Tier 2: Rashaad Penny/Mike Davis/Chris Carson - yeah i don't know what's happening here
Tier 2.5: Corey Clement, Samaje Perine (add in case you have roster space. AP dealing with ankle injury)
Tier 3: Ty Montgomery
Tier 3.5: Ito Smith
Tier 4: Roc Thomas, Mike Boone, Alfred Morris (probably doomed, I just dropped him for Corey Clement),

Could you expand more on what's going on in atl? I don't know if I should keep Coleman because of freeman and Smith or if I should try to 2for1 and get a better back of some sort. Besides bell he's my best back. I also of keryon and rojo tho.

I'd keep Coleman. I think he slides in as their RB2. I doubt you get the return you want if you're moving Coleman. The question is - who are some other RBs the Freeman owner has? Most Freeman owners are slightly irrationally exuberant that he's set to return but if he struggles, it could be a split that is mostly in Coleman's favor ROS.
I'm unsure about Smith. I think this team likes running 2RBs out there in a timeshare. So it's possible Ito played the "tevin coleman role" while Coleman played the Freeman role. Smith didn't see much work the previous week, so it kinda sucked watching him run in that TD. I'm hopeful its a Freeman/Coleman split ROS... and Coleman is a low-ish RB2.
I do think Kerryon starts getting more run (hopeful) and i'm hoping RoJo gets the workload. If he sucks, that's one thing... but if he's able to provide RB2 value that would be a great outcome.

That said, Freeman + Coleman are both limited in practice today. Yeeesh

I'm really all over the place on Coleman's ROS value. I've been weighing an offer to give up Coleman in exchange for Kittle and Watkins. I have Reed on my team, so it's only a matter of time until I need a TE. I am also looking to boost my WR depth (and seek upside with a player who could be the WR1B on one of the best offenses in the NFL). Coleman is part of a log jam of RB2/3 guys on my team (Kerryon, Royce Freeman, Sony Michel) behind Barkley. I'd also drop Giovani Bernard to complete the deal.
All that said, I'm getting some people treating Coleman as a glorified handcuff at this point. I somehow lucked into getting Zeke for Bernard and Coleman in another league, but that's just a miracle I cannot hope to repeat.
My general point with this is that I have no idea how to value Coleman, and it doesn't appear my leaguemates have much better of a sense.

I'm not of the belief that you really need to trade for a TE in PPR leagues, especially given how fragile the position is. Lots of people have reverted to treating Coleman as a glorified handcuff, but in the event that Freeman gets hurt again... well you got yourself another few weeks as an RB1.
The Freeman owner is a sure sucker bet, but most Freeman owners who don't own Coleman are OK with not paying the premium for him. In one league where I actively floated Coleman to the Freeman owner in exchange for ARob, he said no, Coleman is a handcuff. Then he sent out trade offers to other league owners with Freeman! Nervous liar.
But I digress. Coleman is in a similar situation as several of the RBs you mentioned (well, not Michel. He should be your RB2 after Barkley). Unless you really need the WR help, I'd hold Tevin Coleman for now. As for TE... are Geoff Swaim or Jeff Huerman available? Kittle is a guy who's suffered injuries, and if he gets hurt again.. it destroys this trade.

I agree with Hasan. Coleman for Kittle seems like a fair trade today, but I think Coleman's value can go up later and Kittle's won't. I asked around for Coleman too, I tried Coleman for Marvin Jones or Watkins. The owner was open to it, but decided to keep his WRs. Another owner said Arob was too much for Coleman but was ok with Enunwa or Kittle.. At this point, Coleman is back to being a flex, and I think we should probably just wait. That's what I am going to do. Ideally, I want to turn Coleman into Kenny Golladay somehow, hopefully he will have another quiet week this week against GB.

I like the idea of getting Golladay for Coleman. I'm still thinking that Kittle AND Watkins for Coleman could be good value. There's a chance Kittle is the next Kelce, except he'll be the only real target of value on his team (Garcon seems pretty cooked, and Goodwin hasn't gotten it back together this year). And Watkins is probably the cheapest real component of one of the best offenses in the NFL.

That's a bonkers trade. Was this before or after Bell announced when he'd return?
#11 By: Ginoooooobliii, October 4th, 2018 00:24
Right now, today evening . Lol. I don't believe in vetoes but it sucks nevertheless.
#12 By: How, October 4th, 2018 10:19
Wow. That's crazy. I don't believe in vetoes, either. I can say that people make crazy trades that sometimes backfire. I turned down Alvin Kamara for my Melvin Gordon last year (in a keeper league... Kamara was kept for a 13th round pick, while I kept Gordon for a 1st round pick this year...). At the time it seemed an almost offensive offer. Now I look like an idiot.
Who knows, maybe Bell doesn't play much this year or gets traded to an awful team that doesn't give him time for his trademark patience to pay its typical dividends? Or maybe Baldwin is a sure-fire WR1 starting this week, giving 2 more weeks of top production for a desperate team than Bell would have?
#13 By: Ginoooooobliii, October 4th, 2018 13:57
Yeah, we never know. But it did change the landscape of the league, he was a zero rb drafter who went with Hop, OBJ, Baldwin, Landry in first 4 rds and now has Bell ! It's sizzling!

Can also check out the AFC Zero RB Report as well from Mark Wemken.

Ekeler chubb rojo....you have to Drop one. Chubb is free add on wavier right now. But I don't want to drop any of the others.... What's you input? You still rolling with rojo shawn?
#16 By: Ginoooooobliii, October 4th, 2018 18:38
@hrr5010 @devinmci, would you trade Ekeler for John Brown? I offered Coleman, and the owner countered with Ekeler. Ekeler may be a big hit of Gordon goes down, until then John Brown seems to be the better player here.. (other RBs are Bark, CMC, Rojo, Chubb, Coleman, and WRs are MT, JuJu, Allison, Godwin, Coutee and Moore). 1pt ppr
#17 By: hrr5010, October 4th, 2018 19:35
Yeah. I’d be looking to no longer hold Ekeler. You’re never playing him over the other 2. Strong starting rbs. Time to get good WRs!
#18 By: Trevor.Moran, October 4th, 2018 19:45
Drop Ekeler over chubb and rojo?
#19 By: hrr5010, October 4th, 2018 19:49

#21 By: hrr5010, October 4th, 2018 20:17
No. I wouldn’t. We don’t know when Chubb will take over. But we know Ekeler and RoJo have roles today.
