As we close in on the 2017 fantasy playoffs, it’s become increasingly clear that we’re witnessing one of the best running back classes in recent memory. With five stars who could be ranked in almost any order, I wanted to take a closer look at their scoring profiles, examine their pros and cons, and evaluate…

in a .5 PPR for a team in need of RB help would you move AJG for Kamara & Sheppard or AJ for Tevin & Theiland? Start 2 RB 3 WR 1 TE?
RBs: McKinon, Duke, Burkhead, Cohen, D. Williams
WRs: AJG, Evans, Diggs, Keenan, Corey Davis
I'm also considering proposing AJG straight up for McCoy, Gordon, Fournette, or Gurley.

Green for Tevin and Thielen would be a big win. It would be closer for Kamara and Shepard but also a solid play with your receiver depth. Perhaps the Kamara owner has someone slightly more appealing than Shepard.
Gurley is the back I would target in a 1-for-1.

The Kamara-Shepard owner's other WRs are Julio, Funchess, Lee, Stills, Lockett. So do you prefer Coleman > Kamara? I feel like his ceiling is capped once Freeman comes back whereas Kamara can continue to produce RB1 numbers even with Ingram in the fold.

Thielen has a lot more value than Shepard, which is what I'm going after there. I prefer Kamara to Tevin, but the numbers should be relatively close, and Coleman has immense potential in the short term.

Our trade deadline is tomorrow so this is my last chance to really tighten up my roster for a playoff push. I know Theiland is has been a beast but with my WR depth and already owning Diggs I'd constantly have to choose 2 of Diggs/Theiland/Keenan... do you think Coleman is enough of an upgrade over the rest of my RBs that it's worth pulling the trigger on a deal like that vs. swinging for the fences on McCoy. (Coleman/Theiland and McCoy are owned by the same guy). Gurley owner already let me know he is untouchable.

Having a hard time gauging Tevin's ROS value right now. For example, in a 2 QB league where I lost both starters to injury and I am forced to start Kizer/Hundley/Brissett, I've been offered Tyrod Taylor+Antonio Brown for my Tevin Coleman+Brandin Cooks. What do you think? Only RB depth I have behind Tevin is TyMo and Damien Williams, but I'd be starting Brown alongside Mike Evans and Diggs, which is some seriously sexy upside.

@kdenigris I like the options you get by bringing on two quality players. It's probably a stretch to say Thielen is equal to Green, but his scoring has been elite and his peripherals are fantastic. This isn't a one-month deal either. He's been on fire stretching back into 2016. With the Buffalo offense cratering, I don't think McCoy provides enough of an advantage to go that route.
@oaxacaflocka I love Tevin and Cooks, but you almost have to take that. Seems like there have to be some other options at RB either on your bench or on the WW. Am I understanding your RBs correctly?

@FF_Contrarian my bad. Those are the RBs on my bench. Tevin is my RB2, but I have Ingram as my RB1. Pulled the trigger on that trade. Final deal was Kizer+Tevin+Cooks for Tyrod+ABrown+Rawls.
As for RBs on the WW, in no particular order: Jamaal Williams, Perine, Burkhead, Booker, Ekeler, Riddick, Charles, Yeldon, Ellington. Prioritizing Burkhead > Riddick > Perine > Williams in claims this week. Any others you think worth a claim or should be rostered? This is a 12-teamer with 2 FLEX spots in the starting lineup.

I like Ekeler too. He's got receiving ability and some serious athleticism. Hopefully, nothing ever happens to Gordon, but Ekeler has serious upside.

He countered with Coleman & Theiland for AJG and Duke Johnson.. I think I should still pull the trigger right?

Great to see your work in play here in Week 11. How do you compare CMC and Kamara to other young WRs such as Evans and Hopkins in terms of keeper league value.
#13 By: Shawn Siegele , November 15th, 2017 11:36
Thanks, @FF_Fiend, I would still have the two RBs below Hopkins and Evans, who are probably No. 3 and No. 4 on my dynasty board, similar to where they were drafted in our recent staff dynasty mock. But I would have CMC and Kamara much higher than they went in that mock (which was an email draft that wouldn't have taken into account the last week).
You can make a strong case for them in the 2.01/2.02 range.
@kdenigris I'd make that move. Made a big trade for Thielen in dynasty yesterday myself.

Hey @FF_ContrarianAdvise please
Started 1-5, now 5-5. Any last min moves? The league is pretty even and my team may be peaking at the right time so I’m inclined to stay status quo.
Ppr stick with depth or make deal to strengthen starting lineup?
#15 By: Shawn Siegele , November 15th, 2017 12:55
That looks extremely strong. You might be able to package Thompson and Amari for a slight upgrade at WR, but sitting tight should work with such a loaded squad.

Thanks for the feedback. I followed primarily your advice pre-draft and the rest of RV talented writers in season. Hat tip to you guys for the blueprint.

Hi Shawn any clarity on this?
Need 2 of 3. PPR. Projected to be a close one.
I have so much of Diggs elsewhere I planned to sit him here but having 2nd thoughts.
#18 By: Shawn Siegele , November 19th, 2017 12:41
Sorry for the late notice. I'd go Diggs, but I understand if you want a little diversification across lineups.

@FF_Contrarian i got a trade offer asking me for:
Corey Coleman or derrick henry (two offers with this part being different)
giving him: Julio, Hunt, Alfred morris and James white.
In either case id not start coleman, henry, or white unless an injury happened.
I need to win out to win this league starting this week. would u do it, or counter?
kamara, perine, henry, tevin, mack, bilal
cooks, keenan, diggs, evans, coleman, martavis, golladay
hunt, morris, white, clement, b. marshall, forte
julio, corey davis, marvin jones, zay J, woods

In the current conception of the trade, he's getting the key player in Kamara.
If you can get him to take
(and maybe a third player)
then I think it makes some sense, but otherwise I don't see you really upgrading in going from Kamara/Cooks to Hunt/Julio. It's always possible Julio breaks out, of course, but it's also possible Cooks has a really big finish, and I'd prefer Kamara to Hunt.
Does that make sense?
