RotoViz is always looking for smart people to write articles. Any number of individuals could be a good fit for our site.
Maybe you're a regular message board poster who wants to get your thoughts into a full article. Maybe you already write for another site and are looking for an additional outlet for your writing. Or maybe you're just someone looking for an additional challenge on top of dominating your local league.
If you can write an article that meets the following criteria, we would love to hear from you:
-assertions backed up with the evidence to support them
-clear thesis along with clear support for the thesis
-understanding of which NFL statistics have meaning and which are noise
-familiarity with basic grammar and composition
We share revenue with our writers. Some articles have made as much as $800 for the writer. Some articles don't make very much for the writer. It all depends on the quality of the article and whether you have an idea that people can't live without.
If you have an idea for an article that is "evergreen" in nature (like this one) then RotoViz might be an especially good fit. Whereas lots of fantasy sites pay you once for an article (or not at all), RotoViz will keep paying you a split of subscription revenue for as long as the article generates subscriptions.
If you're interested and have a sample of your writing feel free to email it to me at fantasydouche AT gmail.
If you don't have a sample or haven't ever written anything before then think of a value idea that relates to the current fantasy football market and write it up. We'll take a look. If you do that, we recommend becoming familiar with our site style before you send in the article. You might also post the article to these message boards and ask for feedback from our readers, who are perhaps the best judges of our work.
Fantasy football is a great content category with room for lots of voices. We hope to hear from anyone who thinks their content is right for our site.

This topic is now pinned globally. It will appear at the top of its category and all topic lists until it is unpinned by staff for everyone, or by individual users for themselves.

As a suggestion Douche, you might want to include an author's bio page perhaps with their twitter accounts so at least we know who the various contributors are and their credentials..

that's actually something that people have suggested internally, but I think RotoViz will continue to be a site without credentials. which is to say that the ideas will either stand on their own, or they will fail on their own. we generally attract people who have no background in fantasy sports, who are simply obsessive players who want to put their ideas into words. our guidance to these people is generally to write something that will convince a reader of their position using facts.
so our focus really isn't on the credentials of the writer, even if that might seem like an important thing, but rather on the ability of that writer to convince someone of their position.
i also think it's fair to say that some of our most credentialed fantasy writers (including or primarily me) have been responsible for some of our biggest misses, so being credentialed won't save you from making a bad call.

I see that this post was made last May, but does it still apply? Is RotoViz looking for writers?
If so, I'm a sports journalist and fantasy football nut who would love to take a shot at writing for such a great site.
Let me me know when you see this. Look forward to hearing back.

Not sure if it's me, but I can't see your email on the profile. Any chance you can post it in a reply on here?
My email is firstname.lastname@example.org by the way.

I know that this is a very old board, but considering it is still pinned I will assume the opportunity is still available. I emailed my submission to the email listed in the original post from @FantasyDouche. If I should send it to any other email addresses please let me know and I will right away. Thank you!
