@BenGretch @FF_Contrarian @JollyG804 @hrr5010 with Forte’s injury and the Jets favorable playoff schedule, how much of a buy is Bilal Powell? Or is picking up McGuire the better alternative? Or paying some level of price for Forte?

Great question...I don't have mega expectations because Forte clearly was their go-to guy when healthy and who knows with this new one...and Elijah will likely be in the mix, I'd imagine they'd like to see even more as they look towards the future. BUT @CKl made a great darkhorse fantasy playoff MVP case for him here:
so I grabbed him where i could. id want Powell the most right now cuz Forte's quotes sound grim.. but i wouldnt break the bank. maybe a 2:2? especially if the owner doesnt need to start him might be cheap enuff and a worthy hold

I think you should try and snag him ASAP. Last time Bilal Powell played a full game without Forte this season, he operated as the clear bell cow RB. Powell outperformed McGuire as follows:
1) Powell out-snapped McGuire 46-19
2) Powell saw 21 rush attempts vs. McGuire's 10
3) Powell saw 5 targets vs. McGuire's 2
If the Jets remain competitive, Powell will continue operating as the clear workhorse RB. However, if you think Forte is going to be done for the ROS, snap up McGuire in case Powell goes down. The Jets only have 3 RBs on their roster, so if they sign one off their practice squad it's a sign that they don't expect Forte to be back.

Is CoCo and Martavis for him a fair deal?
#7 By: hrr5010, November 10th, 2017 19:29
I think so, but it also depends on your opponents roster. If the guy needs WRs, this should work. My fear is Martavis's value is dead, but worth a push.

Yep he’s set at RB but gutted at WR. Thanks.

@BenGretch, @FF_Contrarian, and anyone who cares to give feedback...some interesting drops in my 0.5 PPR league over the last couple of days. Cohen, Drake, Burkhead, and Woodhead available at RB and Coleman at WR. Per article going to drop Collins, but also wondering about Foreman given the new options of Drake and Cohen. My other RBs include Gordon, Kamara, and D Lewis; WRs Evans, Diggs, Woods, and Corey Davis; TEs Gronk and Olsen. I'm fortunate to be at 8-1 and just acquired Mariota in a swap for ASJ. I also have Dalton.
I'm inclined to pick up Cohen for Collins, but maybe Drake for Foreman, too. It would pain me to drop RotoViz favorite Foreman because I drafted him and held him thus far, but maybe time to cut ties for more production from Drake/Woodhead/Coleman...or is the upside still there in case of Miller injury? I'm carrying the Bears DST this week because the Ravens are on a bye, so I can probably pick up one of these options next week, too.

Hopefully some of those guys will be there next week after you drop your extra D. I really like Drake, Cohen, and Burkhead. (I'd consider dropping Lewis and Dalton in addition to the D.)

Thanks for your thoughts, @FF_Contrarian. I ended up dropping Collins and picking up Drake. We'll see what Drake does tomorrow night. I like his upcoming schedule, in particular. I held onto Lewis and watching the Sunday Night Football game, I'm glad I did--though it looks like Burkhead will be a priority pickup for me. He's getting a lot of work with Gillislee inactive tonight. Of course, Lewis, Burkhead, and White all have offensive TDs for the Pats.
I tell you what, though...I was kicking myself for dropping Marvin Jones for Robert Woods a few weeks back--until today. Woods has been solid since that add/drop, but he really saved my rear today. Gotta trust the RotoViz, you know?
Looking to next week's waivers when I can drop my DST +/- Dalton the priority order looks like Burkhead then Coleman, right? Does Woodhead fit ahead of either of those in your mind?

I'd be very close on Burkhead/Coleman. It sounds like Woodhead's not necessarily healthy.
#13 By: Jason, November 13th, 2017 18:37
@FF_Contrarian I assume you mean Corey Coleman and not Tevin correct?
I have a pretty good roster I feel like but my only startable RBs are Tevin and Kamara. It’s a bit speculative, but how much would you spend to add Rod Smith in the hopes he can be a serviceable RB2/3 with upside in weeks 12-15? Also, I currently own Goff and Carr, would you drop Goff for another RB like Mack, Ekeler, or Perine?
#14 By: Jeff, November 14th, 2017 00:13
Thanks for the tip on Woodhead! Just to add more intrigue, latest news is Rob Kelley may be headed to IR. Some sites suggesting Perine as a nice pickup, but C Thompson seems like the back to own there, anyway, and he's not available on waivers. Am I wrong, @FF_Contrarian? What about Ekeler, as as Gordon owner? I don't normally try to handcuff, but I've been carrying Foreman all season in the hopes that he might assume a workhorse role if Miller is out--is now the time to dump him for Ekeler?

@FantasyNerd I don't have a big edge for Smith over Ekeler and Perine, so I'd probably make relatively low bids or wait for FCFS if you're confident some of those players will sneak through. Could you trade Carr?
This is what the Buy Low shows at QB in case it helps.
@WBFFLchief Thompson is certainly the back to own, but it's difficult to time breakouts. If he's inexpensive, this isn't a bad time to roster Perine. He could be a week away from an Ekeler-like explosion. And he's got a solid schedule for the next month.
I really like Ekeler and have been rostering him all year. (I have a lot of Gordon, too, so it would soften the blow in the case of dreaded Gordon injury.) He's a slightly better own than Foreman since the Chargers are throwing it to their backs so often. (Still love Foreman.)
