The most important part of in-season roster management is working the waiver wire. Here’s advice from RotoViz for Week 2, 2017. The parameters and assumptions of this weekly waiver wire advice column can be found in the preseason introduction. Here’s a quick review of last week’s recommendations. with JC, prosise, Doug Martin, Vereen, foreman and hill as RBs, how much would you bid for Cohen/Kerwynn out of 200$? I am thinking that 50% or higher as a bid. Thoughts? 1 pt ppr.

Arizona looked pretty terrible today. DJ couldn't get anything going on the ground and Palmer was pretty bad. I'd be really hesitant to pay that much for Williams, especially if Ellington will gets most of the passing targets. I have Williams in a league with no waiver (got the injury alert and snapped him up) and it's a league with massive rb value (.25 ppc, .25 ppr) and I'm trying to trade him to the DJ owner for an upgrade at QB2 (it's a 2 QB league). I don't think this is a situation where the main AZ rb automatically has massive value like you would expect in Dallas, KC, Oakland. Or I'm making entirely too much out of the small sample size that was today. Cohen I think will have much more season long value in PPR since we saw what his role can be today without an injury (and White's injury takes away more competition for touches).

I think 50% is a good starting point for a bid. I put in similar bids on both in different leagues.

what about for golladay if we lot a-rob? what would u pay...u prefer Lee and Hurns?
#6 By: CK, September 11th, 2017 06:47
Yeah, i still think Lee and hurns will get more volume, but the presence of Golladay as well as some other WRs means the WRs might be cheaper. If you've got roster room, you might try getting two.

Were you intrigued by Mack? He's on wire in my shorter leagues...apparently scored twice tho his dumb coach didnt challenge....if turbin or gore goes down hes outlook improves and if lucks healthy and 1 of em goes down he could be awesome. but i guess wed have to be willing to lock up a roster spot for weeks waiting. if youd pay 50/100 for williams what would u pay for ellington, or mack

I was really impressed by Mack. It's only a matter of time before he takes over I think. Great cheap add this week.

i'd prob go 15-20% on ellington. i do like mack but i think it's a p crowded backfield unless or until gore gives up the ghost. i'm not sure how much of his week 1 usage was "earned" vs. "it's a blowout, let's save gore."

He was in on the first or 2nd possession. Agree there are better adds this week, but if you have room to stash I think it's well worth it. How much FAAB would you spend on Buck?
#11 By: CK, September 11th, 2017 11:40
depending on what we hear about Woodhead, prob 40-50 percent, assuming woodhead is done for an extended period. i think cohen has a good season long floor with obv big play ability, whereas allen has potential to usurp west and be a three-down rb. pick your flavor, or bid on both with the same drop, and hope to land one of them.

Any thoughts on FAAB percentage for carson? Would you prefer to keep Prosise over him for now?
Also, would you continue rolling with Ebron, or should i just cut my losses now if i am able to get Clay for 1-2%?

My team shit the bed week 1 meaning I have first pick on the waivers. Given a 14 team standard scoring league where I went zero-rb (rb's: Coleman, Henry, Burkhead, Vereen, Foreman, Mack, Marlon Brown) which rb Cohen, Williams or Allen should I target (dropping brown). I feel like given the depth of the league, Allen almost may be the best choice as having a 3 down rb would be huge for a zero-rb squad in std scoring. But it's hard to ignore what Cohen did yesterday...

I'd be willing to spend 10-15 percent for Carson, but I'd bet he goes for more. The Seattle backfield is so convoluted, and Rawls wasn't even active yesterday. I'm in no rush to add any of them, and would hold Prosise right now given your situation.
Also, stick with Ebron. If you have another player to drop for Clay, I'd do that.

I'm not buying Mack. The Colts were TERRIBLE yesterday. I don't think that Luck coming back is going to magically fix that offensive line. Gore and Mack split carries evenly (10 a piece) but Gore got 42 yards to Mack's 24. Mack's TD came off a 3 yard run deeep into garbage time. I don't doubt that Mack could become the starter, but there are still more intriguing upside plays I would prefer.

deslaur i agree. allen makes the most sense, or maybe kerwynn, if DJ does in fact miss extended time.

Wrt Prosise, I was happy to see him take all the snaps for the 2 minute drill at the end of first half. I couldn't catch the second half, so I don't know if he was used similarly.

Any concern about Dalton or just a tough matchup? I grabbed him in all but 1 league and started him and amazingly will probably still win most leagues. Next week he plays another pretty good defense in Houston on a short week. Would you hold, or if not, who would you target? Taylor appears to be available in most leagues but he also just played the Jets.
#19 By: Ryan Deslauriers, September 11th, 2017 14:44
Lol, I have Dalton as my only QB and got absolutely screwed so I'm impressed you won. That being said, I'm still pretty high on him. If this is a repeated effort than yea I'll be concerned but I'm gonna trot him back out there next week and hope for the best.
