Let's get a thread going for tough start/sit decisions this week. Here are a few i have, can't believe i lost Breida and Conner when it matters most but i digress.
I have 2 RB slots and a flex to decide which 3 to start out of the 5. Its hard to trust Landry since he's been such a bust and so i was leaning this way.
RB2 Wilson Jr.
FLEX - Sutton (Hopefully Sanders injury means more targets)
Ekeler (Role now unclear and game script seems to favor Jackson in the second half as the Chargers should win easily, Vegas has them as -14)
Landry (Starting him when it matters most makes me physically ill)
In another league i have a choice of Boyd, Ekeler, or Landry as a flex play.
Leaning Boyd, they should throw a lot being + 14
Good luck to everyone this week and if you own Connor/Breida/Gordon i hope they are back for you in Week 15!

I've got a tough one.
HPPR - Pick 3 to start.
- Dalvin Cook
- Aaron Jones
- Austin Ekeler
- Lamar Miller

EZPZ - Cook and Jones IMO

I think you're right with your lineup. I wouldn't love Wilson Jr., but with Breida out, he'll get that backfield more or less to himself, and we all know that scheme just manufactures points for RBs. I think Ekeler will retain his passing game role and, much to my chagrin (as someone who has to start Justin Jackson this week), will probably get another crack at the majority of touches in that backfield.
Gordon can't come back soon enough. I've lost OJ Howard, Sanders, and Kirk for the season, as well as having Gordon down at this critical juncture. This sport really is too brutal... I really feel bad for these guys: people suffer serious injuries in almost every game.
At any rate, whom to start in the flex in PPR: Sony Michel, D.J. Moore, Chris Godwin, Justin Jackson. I think Michel (with the others in that order).
Would you start Austin Hooper or Cameron Brate?
@EZPZ That's an easy, peasy answer: Cook and Jones.

Great thread, thanks for starting this. I’m in the ‘lost Conner and Hunt’ camp unfortunately. Of these players, pick 1 RB and 1 Flex (standard non-PPR scoring):
Thanks and good luck to all.

Yeah I need to choose one more between Ekeler or Miller.

Good thread this.
@JDean13 I'd go DJ Moore & Ware. WR1 on good team in contention, plus RB1 on one of best offenses in league. The other guys are more lottery picks for me.
@EZPZ Miller. Locked in RB1 on Texans. Though as a Foreman fan I'm pleased to see him hopefully back on the field this wk. You could arguably start Ekeler over Dalvin depending on how brave you're feeling. Cook has been playing well but not seeing a ton of snaps.
@HowFantasy Hooper at TE. Brate remains a Winston fave but minimal volume and he feels TD-dependant. Unless Jackson absence sees a target boost to the TE. I'm also in the 'flex Michel in PPR' zone. I would start him, but would also consider Godwin (who look to have a high ceiling without DJax).
Here's my dilemma. Any two flex from these in full PPR. My starting WRs are Keenan, JuJu & Boyd, RBs Chubb & Dalvin.
Sony, Sutton, Sammy, Tre'Quan, Rex, Samuel & Funchess

I have some catching up to do since I faced the generational talent Derrick Henry last night....
I am in a 2WR 2RB and 2FLEX PPR league.
I have AB and A Rob currently in my WR spots
Aaron Jones as RB1
And then I have Ekeler, DJ Moore, Ware, Jeff Wilson, Riddick and Sammy Watkins for my RB2 and Flex spots.
Thanks guys, heres to a miracle come back!

I think Sony and Sutton are your guys. I don't trust the rest nearly as much.
Also, it turns out that the answer to the question of which running back to start alongside Chubb this week was Derrick Henry. Those are 48 points Justin Jackson will DEFINITELY NOT score. I'll be lucky if he sniffs 15...

@HowFantasy i would start Hooper for sure.
As far as the Flex spot i'm the same thinking as you either Michel or Moore. I guess look at game script and what the Vegas lines are telling us. Maybe the GLSP will help choose for you if their floors are the same but one has the higher ceiling?

@JDean13 I'd probably go Ware and Wilson because their usage is the most predictable but you have a touch choice. Samuels is tempting because it seems like whomever plays RB for the Steelers puts up monster numbers. Even Deangelo Williams crushed it a few years back when Bell got hurt.
Moore scares me just because Cam seems to be playing hurt and preferring the short passing game because of his shoulder but that said Moore is their best pass catcher other than CMC.For me since its not PPR i would go RB over WR though.....

Our very own @Ndutton has Sutton and Ekeler as his bold prediction WR1 and RB1 throughout the playoffs which most of us coincidentally are struggling with on our sit and start decisions.
I'd love to hear him expound more on if we should take the plunge over more established starters.
#14 By: Jeff, December 7th, 2018 10:45
@EZPZ The way i would view Miller vs Ekeler is Miller is the safe play because of preditable usage and provides a safe floor. Ekeler has more upside because of his pass catching ability and there is a chance he still gets the majority of the work.

@Mshervin I go Ware in your RB2 and Ekeler in the flex but Moore is tempting..
The one thing that worries me about Ekeler is that the Chargers are such a fav they should be running a lot in the second half and that might favor Jackson so if Ekeler doesn't tear it up early it could be a bad day assuming the Chargers blow them out.
#17 By: Matt Shervin, December 7th, 2018 12:07
yeah and its actually a 2 flex league so I could start Ekeler and Moore. It was more of a question of do I start Wilson over any of those guys

This is a great thread. I love what I'm reading here. (On the specific questions that have been addressed to me, I agree with the comments from the community.) Keep it going.
@Mshervin I would have Moore in there.

Been riding Andrew Luck all year. Have a bye this week but next week I would be starting him at home vs dal and then nyg. It's safer to ride him than it is to throw out Josh Allen though, right? Streaming app has Luck in the green for both match ups. But I am scared...

In Full PPR redraft, who would you rather roll with as flex for playoffs?
#21 By: Jeff, December 8th, 2018 12:57
The streaming app showed Breida as having a great schedule in the playoffs including Week 14. It seems like Wilson will certainly get the bulk of the touches so playing him over Moore or Ekeler isn't a bad move. its just hard to do because we don't know if he's any good or not. The fact that he had 9 targets and caught 8 of them last week tells me he's probably got a decent floor but keep in mind Seattle was blowing them out so they threw a lot.
Vegas has Denver at + 3.5 so this game might be closer.
If i was favored to win i would go with Wilson, if i was a big underdog i'd swing for the fences and go Ekeler.
EDIT: After looking at the GLSP and seeing Shawn's post i think you have to go Moore. His ceiling is at 24 with a floor of 12. The GLSP's have him as WR 11 this week.
